Sex therapy might sound intimidating if you’ve never done it before, which is why I start out at whatever pace you are comfortable with. I will start with a comprehensive assessment of what’s going on, and space to talk. There is no expectation to disclose all personal details, you do so as you are ready.
This is entirely a conversational process, focused on understanding your concern and working toward what actually helps.
This work is handled with the same discretion as any other sensitive topic.
This is a space to talk openly, without embarrassment or judgment.
This is talk and solution based work from start to finish.
Discreet, judgment-free support for low desire, performance anxiety, intimacy concerns, and more.
This work calls for more than general counselling experience, which is why I completed the Guelph Intensive Sex Therapy training (GIST). This is specialized education and assessment for sexual health concerns in individuals and couples, as well as interventions in relationship dynamics.
Depending on your needs, topics we may explore are emotional & physical closeness, desire & intimacy difficulties, illness or medication side effects. There can either be a mismatch in expectations, or something you’ve had long standing and can’t fix on your own.
Naming what you’re experiencing specifically can make it easier to reach out. Here are the areas I work with most often.
A noticeable drop in desire, whether recent or long-standing, is one of the most common reasons clients reach out. I approach this without pressure, helping you explore physical, emotional, relational and situational factors.
Beyond specific physical concerns, broader intimacy issues, disconnect, discomfort, or difficulty communicating about sex, are just as valid a reason to reach out.
Pressure to ‘perform’ can turn intimacy into something stressful rather than enjoyable, and that pressure often makes the anxiety worse. We’ll work on understanding what’s driving it and easing that cycle, so intimacy can feel less like a test.
This work is handled with the same discretion as any other sensitive topic, always.
Sessions are entirely conversational, there is no physical touch.
Whether you're working through this on your own or with a partner, the same discreet approach applies.
Whenever you’re ready, reaching out is completely confidential. Call (519) 253-1519 or send your availability through the contact form.
Reaching out is often the hardest step, and the most important one. Let’s talk about what’s going on and find a path forward together.
I work with clients on a range of concerns, most commonly mismatches in desires, performance anxiety, and broader intimacy concerns. If what you’re experiencing doesn’t fit neatly into one of these, reach out anyway; we can talk through whether this is the right fit.
No. Sex therapy is entirely conversational, open dialogue in a comprehensive, judgment-free assessment. There is no physical touch or examination involved at any point.
Both. I work with individuals dealing with a sexual concern on their own, as well as couples working through something together. Either way, the same discreet, judgment-free approach applies.
Completely. What’s shared in session is kept confidential, with the standard legal and ethical exceptions that apply to any registered therapist. This work is handled with the same discretion as any other sensitive topic.
You don’t need the right words to start — just reach out. Leave a few details and I will get back to you to schedule a confidential first conversation.
